Halloween is a great time for telling stories. Spooky stories—of things that go bump in the night. It’s perhaps my favorite season for discovering and sharing new books. Whether it’s a frightfully delightful read-aloud, a spooky middle grade mystery, a chilling YA thriller, or a real life ghost story, Halloween puts me in the mood to READ! (And eat chocolate.)

HalloweenSixteen was created to celebrate the best new books for the leaf crackling, witch cackling, curl up with a spooky story season.

Starting in September 2016,  we’ll feature the best books for #HalloweenSixteen, with author interviews, suggested crafts and enrichment activities, book club discussion questions, author-Skype opportunities, events, giveaways, contests and more!
